Race 1

1 ALL TOO HUIYING strung 3 wins on the trot, culminating in a win at Listed level at Flemington over the spring carnival.  He comes here off the back of a recent barrier trial to maintain his fitness level, and while he has to carry top weight, he looks a class above his rivals here.

Race 2

14 CRUSHER is unbeaten in 2 starts, and resumes here in a winnable race. She looks a filly on the up, and from the good gate with a lightweight, she should be on speed and hard to beat. 2 HIGH COST hasn’t drawn well, but the horse is going super and with any luck will be in the finish. With the difference in prices, I’ll have something the win CRUSHER and a small win 2 HIGH COST

Race 3

Firstly the disclaimer, I have a share in 9 VICTORY TOAST.  We purchased her at the MM sales earlier this year, and she has shown good speed in her jump outs without really being placed under pressure. I expect she will be up on the speed, just not sure if she is genuine Saturday grade at this stage. 2 AWESOME MO looks the horse to beat, was ok in his first start in a race, and comes back here gelded and ready to go off a good trial. 4 PAQUIRRI brings the good JONKER form, and with natural improvement will be hard to beat.

Race 4

6 SUNLIGHT comes here to win on her way to the Magic Millions 2yo in 3 weeks time. She was good in the Maribyrnong Plate, and has trialed really well for this and I think she will win and win well. 5 SPIRITS PRIDE is a nice QLD bred youngster and is very nice type of filly. She can lead them up here and take catching, and is the QUIN horse for mine.

Race 5

12 SNITZELS JOY looks to be one at value in a very even and competitive Class 3. She may have been 4L first up, but she was ridden quieter and I liked the way she hit the line late. She can settle just behind the speed here from the low draw, and can be right in the finish.

Race 6

9 SUSURRI was ok when runner up when resuming, she just seemed to flounder on the soft track when asked to sprint. She can find cover here in the run, and is a good hope. Seems good odds here following the scratching of Winter Bride who I saw as the main threat.

Race 7

5 SHEZA LILY is a nice mare going through the grades, which put up a good effort from an impossible position last start.  She is short enough from the tricky gate, and while I think she can definitely win, I’m not keen to pile into the $2.30 on offer, but will have a saving win bet.  We should have a good idea how the track is playing by this stage, if the leaders are not disadvantaged, 6 COURTS STAR looks the likely leader, and can definitely give a sight at the good price.

Race 8

6 KIRINI has come up extremely short here; he is the top pick from stable mate 1 THE RUMOUR FILE, but I couldn’t entertain a bet at odds on. I’d be taking 1 & 6 in the Quadrella.

Race 9

1 UPSTART PRIDE meets the easiest field his met in sometime. The issue with him he sometimes half misses away which proves costly at the top level.  He is unbeaten at 2 goes at this track and distance, and if he brings his a game, he may just run these into the ground. 6 AMANAAAT continues to jump the bar every time Ben Currie raises it for him.  He has drawn to get a nice run in transit, and is a definite threat.  8 OINK is a nice horse, and always races well.

Race 10

I feel it looms as D Day for 9 RINGOS A ROCKSTA, he’s promised a bit but hasn’t really delivered. Its approaching 12 months since his last win, but his ran last start suggests that if he reproduces that he can win this.
