Mulberry Racing joins Everest ranks with three-year slot deal

Mulberry Racing has been confirmed as the new slot holder in the Everest, replacing The Star after submitting what Racing NSW described as “the most compelling offer”.

The deal spans three years and marks a major milestone for Mulberry Racing, a data-driven operation launched in 2023.

Describing itself as “a dynamic new force in Australian Racing,” Mulberry owns a property near Sydney and campaigns horses across Australia, New Zealand and the US, including stakes winner Jedibeel.

It also made waves at the Magic Millions sale earlier this year, securing a $700,000 Home Affairs filly.

Racing NSW COO Graeme Hinton said Mulberry’s appeal to a fresh audience aligned perfectly with The Everest’s ambitions.

“In particular, the opportunity to target a new demographic is what The TAB Everest is all about,” Hinton said.

Mulberry Racing manager Lachlan Sheridan said data was central to their success.

“From day one… we believe [our stable] has the quality and depth to win The Everest,” he said.

The $20 million Everest takes place at Randwick on October 18.
