Best Bets:

Looking for a bit of Each Way value today:

R7 N8 REAL EGO

R8 N7 PLEASED

Race 1

Not an inspiring betting race to kick off the program. 4 SQUALL was placed on debut, an has trialed up well for a first up run. Looks the horse to beat on exposed form.

Numbers: 4-5-1-3

Bet: WIN 4 SQUALL

Race 2

Another race that’s hard to excited about, with only 1 of the 7 runners having raced.  Looks like the first starters 1 BOOMSARA  5 HOT GAMBLER & 8 ZEPHETTO have got ability, going off their trial efforts. Hard to split either of them, and not overly keen to bet into this race.

Numbers: 1 – 8 – 5 – 3

Bet: 1 BOOMSARA Each Way

Race 3

6 GREYT LOVE comes to QLD off a couple of good NSW efforts, including a 3.7L defeat in the Listed GIMCRACK stakes. The 900m around the Gold Coast looks suitable and is the horse to beat. 4 FISH ‘N’ SNITZ just home some handy performers in Metro grad last prep, is the next best, and a good QUINELLA bet.

Numbers: 6 – 4 – 11 – 5

Bet: QUINELLA & EXACTA 4 & 6

Race 4

Having 2 win bets in the race, with numbers 6 FULL DIAMOND & 7 GO DIXIE. Both look like horses who will appreciate the step in trip and have been racing well. A slight leaning to 6 FULL DIAMOND from the low gate but feel both are winning hopes and good enough odds to back both.

Numbers: 6 – 7 – 5 – 1

Bet: WIN BETS 6 FULL DIAMOND $4 & 7 GO DIXIE $7.50

Race 5

3 DUKE OF CHRISTOPH gets the nod here in a very even field. He will likely position up behind the leader, and he has a good enough sprint to use that map advantage. Most in this race have some hope, so happy to be on the horse that maps best.

Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5- 10

Bet: WIN 3 DUKE OF CHRISTOPH

Race 6

Difficult race to dissect here, with numbers 3,4,7 looking the leading chances.  7 MIDNIGHT DELIGHT is having her first start in QLD for Chris Waller, her form in NSW as been moderate, so happy to play around her. 3 IGGY THE MOOCHER was beaten favorite first up at Grafton, after being set alight and only just ran down. I think he can lead here and is the horse they will have to run down. 4 The Socialist is coming off a moderate maiden win.

Numbers: 3 – 7 -4 -2

Bet: WIN 3 IGGY THE MOOCHER

Race 7

10 NILETTE hasn’t been far away in much tougher grade than this, and with any luck from the wide gate, looks the horse to beat but very short. Hardest to beat is 8 REAL EGO, who wasn’t far away when finishing 0.6L behind the promising BERGERAC last time. I think they fight out the race, and I’m happy to be on 8 REAL EGO at the big price.

Numbers: 8 – 10 – 5 – 1

Bet: EACH WAY 8 REAL EGO

Race 8

7 PLEASED was scr from Doomben last Saturday for this and looks a good EW hope. Last preparation he finished 3.1L behind CARE TO THINK over the 1350m, and he has progressed well this preparation suggesting he is ready to run a big race. 12 SUILVEN was a big winner when resuming 2 back, then proved it was no fluke when leading and bolting in last start.  With no weight here, he can lead again and give them something to catch.  The Waller pair 1 CANBERRA & 2 TIVOLI STREET need to be respected.

Numbers: 7 -12- 2- 1

Bet: Each Way 7 PLEASED
