Race 1
Competitive 2yo race to kick off the card with numbers 1 ADDOCAR & 3 PHOENIX GLOBAL coming through the same race, when chasing Tullio who was too sharp at 1100m. They were both a pass mark and look to improve second up here. 3 PHOENIX GLOBAL gets blinkers first time and is the big improver from that first up run. 8 VICTORY TOAST looked suited to the rise to 1300m here. She did her best work in her last 100m last start, and the winner out of that race Magic Fox, has since gone on to run really well in stakes grade. She looks a good each way chance.

Race 2
Horrible race this, with the favorite 3 GET STUCK IN coming off a 6.8L defeat when starting $21 in maiden company, not an ideal profile for a $3.50 favorite here. Second favorite 7 CHICOTOUMI is honest, can sit near the speed and is a hope. 4 NINE CIGARS wasn’t disgraced in his first up run, he can sit up on speed and give a sight, looks a good EW hope.

Race 3
I’m keen on 6 WITHOUT REVENGE here to roll the favorite 3 GO DIXIE. Really liked the way he attacked the line and looks perfectly suited to the mile second up. 3 GO DIXIE has had a few chances to break through and will be on speed here. He won’t get his own way in front, and I think that makes him vulnerable late.

Race 4
Looks the perfect race for 4 SURPRISE BULLET to break back into the winner circle. Expect him to be on speed and too strong for these. 9 PROTEST looks a minor money hope, along with 8 ISLAND SUNSET

Race 5
Skinny race with a couple of scratching’s, leaving only the 7 runners, with 1 IGNITE THE LIGHT coming up a short priced favorite. He looks the leader from the inside gate and should be too good for them. 4 MAKATI will likely roll forward, along with 2 NATCH and they look to fight out the minor end of the prize.

Race 6
1 TE AMO & 7 KEEP YOUR ROSES the 2 here, who look to get back off a really good and be charging home late. 1 TE AMO looks the obvious, she was run down by a smart filly last time and couldn’t have gone much better. She will land in front of 7 KEEP YOUR ROSES, and is the horse to beat, albeit a prohibitive price at odds on. 7 KEEP THE ROSES has trialed up well for this and expect her to run a big race first up. 4 FRIENDS can camp behind the speed, and with luck in transit can figure.

Race 7
With the scratching’s here reducing this to an 8 horse field, it looks a match race between 1 MR MARKOU & 8 PRESSWAY. Expecting 1 MR MARKOU to either lead or box seat behind 9 SAN SIERRA, and 8 PRESSWAY sitting just off that pair. Hard to split them, but if 1 MR MARKOU gets out to +$2.50 and 8 PRESSWAY firms into odds on, I’ll be happy to be on 1 MR MARKOU. 4 MONACO PRINCE & 9 SAN SIERRA can fight out the minors.

Race 8
Tough race to finish, but I’m with 3 BRONZED VENOM at the EACH WAY price. I think they can roll forward on him here, to offset the gate, and is a really good hope. He was a pass mark first up on a heavy track, before a good run second up at Casino in a decent race. He got wide, and tired the last little bit, but should strip fitter here and looks ready to go third up. 8 BRAINS is racing really well, gets a good run in transit and should be in the finish. 13 CAVALLI will likely get back a bit but should be working home strongly.
