Coolmore Legacy Stakes Free Tips, Bets and Field Preview – 2020

The Coolmore Legacy Stakes closes out the nine-race card at Randwick on Saturday and there is a tremendous opportunity for punters to end Day 2 of The Championships on a winning note.

Favourites have dominated this race over the last decade, but punters will be searching for another double-digit roughie following Kenedna’s 20-1 upset last year.

Coolmore Legacy Stakes – Winner

No. 11 Miss Fabulass – Bet Now: $26.00

The four-year-old proved she could handle the wet track running second in the Coolmore Classic and fourth in the Emancipation Stakes last month. The form out of both of those races has always proven valuable in Coolmore Legacy betting and I think the Frankel mare is well over the odds at the current quote. Miss Fabulass recorded the second-fastest final 600m in the Emancipation Stakes and has the added benefit of three-time Legacy winner Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle. Six of the last nine Coolmore Legacy winners have been four-year-old mares, so everything is pointing in trainer Kris Lees’ favour.

Coolmore Legacy Stakes – 2nd

No. 13 Amangiri – Bet Now: $16.00

Brenton Avdulla will need to overcome the wide draw on Saturday, but he should feel confident knowing Amangiri has form over the track and distance. The four-year-old mare by All Too Hard has placed in two of her three starts at Randwick and has a win and a place to her name second-up. She’s stripped fitter and had the run of the race running third in the Emancipation Stakes after leading on a very unforgiving wet track. Has also won twice over the mile, so major each-way claims in my opinion.

Coolmore Legacy Stakes – 3rd

No. 16 Fidelia – Bet Now: $81.00

Happy to have something small on Fidelia at long odds. She’s only got Melbourne form to her name but has placed in three of her four starts this prep and owns two wins over the mile. The four-year-old also clocked the fastest time over the final furlong in the Sunlike Stakes at Moonee Valley in her last start, and while this is a step up in class, she should get a great run in transit from barrier 5.

Coolmore Legacy Stakes – 4th

No. 2 Nettoyer – Bet Now: $9.00

There’s absolutely no reason Nettoyer can’t go back-to-back following her late win in the Doncaster last week. The Sebring mare has now won four times over the mile and five times at Randwick, while she’s also drawn the winningest gate in Coolmore Legacy history. The only real knock is backing up and James Innes Jr being replaced by Glen Boss.
