Gem Song is the value runner in the Newcastle Newmarket Handicap.
He returned from a lengthy spell with a very promising effort in the Southern Cross Stakes and he should take good improvement from that performance.
His best form would have him right in the mix and he should have every possible chance in the run from barrier five.

It has almost been a year since I Say Hello has been seen at the races, but she is a filly with plenty of ability.
She never gave her rivals a chance when she led from start to finish to win on debut at Newcastle and she has speed to burn.
Brenton Avdulla can ride her aggressively from the wide barrier draw and she will give her rivals something to catch.
