Home By Midnight is the class runner in the Ladbrokes Australian Hurdle field and if he is able to get around the course he will be very tough to beat.
He has run well in both the Warrnambool Cup and the Terang Cup this campaign and he showed his jumping ability when he won by 11 lengths at Ballarat last year.
There is no doubt that he is the class horse in this field and that will take him a long way in this race.

No. 1 Bit Of A Lad – Bet Now: $3.00
Bit Of A Lad failed to fire in the Grand Annual at Warrnambool, but I think that he can bounce back in the Australian Steeplechase.
He wasn’t beaten far by Flying Agent in the Brierly Steeplechase and the drop in trip does suit him.
Steven Pateman can settle him right on the speed and he will give his rivals something to catch.
Sandown – Race 4 2:10PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 1 Cardigan Queen – Bet Now: $2.70
Cardigan Queen has finished second in her two race starts to date and she has an excellent chance to claim a maiden race win at Ladbrokes Park Sandown this afternoon.
She chased home I Am In The Mood on debut and wasn’t beaten far in the VOBIS Gold Strike at Warrnambool.
The Sebring filly clearly has ability and with even luck in running she will prove tough to beat.
Sandown – Race 6 3:20PM AEST
No. 7 Corner Pocket – Bet Now: $3.30
Corner Pocket will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but he is still the horse to beat in this contest.
He has now scored four wins on the trot and the scary thing for his rivals is that he just keeps on winning.
The Toronado gelding will settle in the second half of the field, but he will be storming home late.
