Race 1: 6-9-3-2

Impossible race. It is a feeble recommendation but follow any significant market leads here. Obviously OF IMPORTANCE will find this easier than fair G3 debut when was respected in the market. STAR ORDER had market respect on debut but blew the start (3 lens) at The Valley and race was gone. SPECIAL DESIGN took on the Maribyrnong Plate on debut and was only 5.5 lens from NOMOTHAJ. FIERA VISTA has had two public trials, both indicate ability. The Krone form around LISETTE reads well now.

SUGGESTED: Just tread warily.

 

 

Race 2: 1-3-4-7

Good maiden, HONORABLE MENTION has been well found in early betting off trial win but am tipping COSMOLOGICAL who just missed when resuming in a BM58 at Yarra Valley and 1200m suits here. KEV’S LAD was big odds on debut but ran better than market expectations and out to 1200m will suit. VOICEOVER is fit and racing well to suggest a win isn’t far away.

SUGGESTED: Happy to stay with the experience and COSMOLOGICAL.

 

 

Race 3: 1-3-9-2

Got to like the CONNERY here. Wants 1600m after solid 1400m effort here last time but more appealing is the runs around CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE (Tassie Derby winner), including beating it home 3 runs back. And now gets blinkers. HAN XIN the danger with blinkers going back on, will roll along probably in front and take running down if not a 1600m doubt. PELONOMENA was very good without luck here last time and 1600m a tick. DEWRINKLER debuted at 1600m and had little luck. Good race but like top pick.

SUGGESTED: CONNERY to win.

 

 

Race 4: 12-11-7-6

Another competitive maiden but ZEBREEZ is the obvious top pick after 3 for 3 2nds and out to 1600m looks to suit. THINK CATHY had no luck at the 1600m here last time and clear danger. JOIE DE DREAM is likely leader and well grounded for the 1600m test. JEDDAH AHEADAH obviously in mix with 4/4 placings with no issues at 1600m.

SUGGESTED: Top 4 all have a hope but ZEBREEZ gets to 1600m swings me that way.

 

 

Race 5: 7-1-10-3

Even contest, FALLING WATERS looks hardest to beat, a winner over this trip 4 runs back and consistent since. Is going to look a winner at some stage in straight, hopefully at the post. HOPE YA DON’T MIND has been racing very well and probably back to the 1000m here is more in favour. SEA OF STARS on home track will be competitive. VINTAGE QUARTZ is back of long break and respected.

SUGGESTED: FALLING WATERS on top.

 

 

Race 6: 2-6-5-7

ALONG CAME JONES is now out to 1400m, fit and racing well, should have finished closer at Warrnambool. PARSIFAL is on the up, liked the way when out to 1400m it was able to roll forward and keep going. CEDAR GRANGE resumes, 1400m is as short as it wants but fresh is worth respected.

SUGGESTED: I like ALONG CAME JONES to 1400m.

 

 

Race 7: 5-10-8-13

Good race but very much like CALL ME HANDSOME who has good grounding for 1600m and like its pattern that keep bad luck out of play. OUR PEAKY BLINDERS is on the improve and up to this now. SOHOOL did it tough at Caulfield and braved it out well. Has had a good campaign. KAPAULENKO won well here at the 1600m last time, this is tougher but is in form.

SUGGESTED: CALL ME HANDSOME to win again.

 

 

Race 8: 9-8-10-5

STAR SEARCH is ready to peak for a win after just missing in same grade at Caulfield last time. BORN TO FIGHT resumes and will be hard to beat. MOUSAI had tough run at Kilmore and has a hope. THUNDER CLOUD resumes, probably wants further but not under-estimating.

SUGGESTED: STAR SEARCH looks ready to win.
