NAANTALI is flying and although beaten last start she fought to the line and now drops back a 100m which I think suits her. From an ideal gate she should settle pretty handy and be ready to pounce. I three week freshen up should be lovely following having a few tough runs. Hopefully she gets the punters off to a flyer.

RACE 5                        NO.2                NATURE STRIP

Even though NATURE STRIP is short odds around the $1.50 mark I think it’s a fair price especially having drawn gate one and he has brilliant early speed. Even though it’s only a 1000m if he is impressive here the mail is the ATC will do a deal for him in the Everest so I say jump aboard.

RACE 8                        NO.1                HARTNELL  

HARTNELL was very good three weeks ago first up when narrowly beaten in the P.B. Lawrence and with that run under his belt he looks hard to beat here. The gate is the only problem I see as he is far superior to his opposition and I liked what I saw of him first up in the flesh. On class alone I have to stick with him.
