Craig Williams rides for Robbie Laing on this colt by Fastnet Rock having his first start. He has shown very good ability in his hit outs and with the addition of blinkers he will be scooting over the short course. I think it’s a good competitive little field here but I really like what I see with this colt.

RACE 4                        NO.9                OUR LIBRETTO    

OUR LIBRETTO created a big impression at his first Australian start back in July when charging in the home straight to win and do it in such a dominant way over 1400m. He returns here at the mile having had two barrier trials to keep him up to the mark and although I concede Shoko will be difficult to run down I think this gelding has the x-factor and be around in some better races.

It always dangerous tipping horses coming off the synthetic as often the form doesn’t stack up but I thought the win of GAELIC DREAM at Geelong was dominant with big margins between the placings and there has been several horses come through the race that have gone onto win. She should bounce and be hard to run down here.
