I have been betting in Queensland for two decades and although the fields aren’t big I think today is a very tricky meeting. The two shorties on the card look hard to beat.

RACE 2                        NO.13              THUNDEROUS STRIKE

THUNDEROUS STRIKE was very good on debut here two weeks ago when getting back near the tail but when given his head he attacked the line strongly over the short course 1050m. The step up to today’s 1350m looks right up his alley and this should be a nice stepping stone to some better races.

RACE 5                        NO.3                FRANGIPANI MOON

FRANGIPANI MOON has had tongues wagging for a little while now and we finally get to see her on race day. This filly by boom sire Spirit Of Boom has trialled publicly a couple of times and looks a nice filly well educated. Not flash odds but all things being even she should kick start her career with a win.
