Josh Parr has kept his strong form rolling, opening Wednesday’s Warwick Farm card with a front-running win aboard Dyami in the Captivant @ Kia Ora Plate (1200m).

Fresh from a treble at Rosehill last Saturday—including success in the McKell Cup—Parr wasted no time returning to the winner’s circle.

Riding the $1.90 favourite for Hawkes Racing, Parr dictated terms from the front and kicked clear to defeat Rach by 1-1/2 lengths.

“He did everything really well for me… He jumped well, took up the lead comfortably and was willing to do so,” Parr said.

“When we were in for a fight the last section he dug deep and got the victory.”

In the following event, Tulloch Lodge filly Tomato Toastie upset $3 favourite Pyrolysis in the Asahi Super Dry Plate (1200m), breaking her maiden with a strong finish.

“She was switched on and she put herself in the race nicely,” co-trainer Adrian Bott said, adding she’d likely head to the paddock and return stronger.

As for her unique name? Bott credited her sire Too Darn Hot—“They’re always too darn hot, a tomato toastie.”
