Track comes up soft 5 for city graded public holiday Monday meeting. Rail back true (was 8m) and no disadvantage race forward near fence. Interesting races with early market moves helpful in guiding the way.

BRALCA’S GEM R3 #11
Race 1: 9-2-12-13.
Strong early push for BEERZ WITH CLINT (trained by Clint McDonald – Zahra rides if not in your form guide) – was $9 into $4.8 before finals. Soft jumpout looked like nice pre to go well on debut. But I have to think CAVALINI is the one to beat now with blinkers going on. Good chasing Propelle at Sale.
SUGGESTED: CAVALINI at $5.5 against some seemingly useful debutants.
Race 2: 13-3-1-10
Pat Carey stable in terrific form and like the Oliver booking for THIS GIRLS ON FIRE, strong late at Pakenham. Either it or CHAMPAGNE FRIDAY for me. Respecting market for RED JEWEL GIRL at this trip on debut after sound Cranbourne 990m trial.
SUGGESTED: THIS GIRLS ON FIRE ok at $4.4.
Race 3: 11-1-8-6
BRALCA’S GEM is ready, back to maiden from a solid BM70 driving finish resuming. AL KHABEER is a well bred (out of G1 winner Rewaaya) debutant and trialled well Werribee.
SUGGESTED: Clearly with the $3 BRALCA’S GEM unless strong move from $4.6 down on AL KHABEER.
Race 4: 3-12-8-6.
Race for 1st starters here and most intriguing runner of the day is GREYWORM off 3 trials NSW for Kris lees now on debut for Mick Kent. Market has found it around $2. The other 1st starter EDMONIA trialled well for C Williams who sticks, looks to have ability.
SUGEGSTED: Market and trial leads all say GREYWORM, but $2 is short enough.
Race 5: 10-12-3-4
Even Bm64 and like a maiden galloper for Waller in CARANO fresh, drawn to make use of alley. PAGEANTRY is intriguing, now with Weir after some costly efforts in better company. Very wary especially at $14.
SUGGESTED: CARANO top pick but a wide race.
Race 6: 1-5-10-8
Shortie to start the quaddie and LA VOLT should win. The $1.45 tells you that. Can’t make a case against it with the rivals on offer.
SUGGESTED: Take the 1 one out in the quaddie.
Race 7: 11-17-6-13
WIMBORNE is only 3/23 but is racing well enough to think next win could be here Pattern of racing doesn’t help but had no luck Geelong. Weir pair TRULY HIGH and current $3 favourite (that’s unders) BUT IT’S TRUE the key dangers.
SUGGESTED: Taking the $6.5 about WIMBORNE but want insurance in quaddie.
Race 8: 5-13-3-7
MUTUAL RESPECT was well backed to win debut at Sale and loved the way it raced and accelerated when required. Can measure up on home track here and beyond. SACRED SISTER won it’s maiden last start (resuming) and looks talented. THE MAYOR after a freshen from The Bool effort.
SUGGESTED: Keen on MUTUAL RESPECT.
Race 9: 9-12-11-8
TOOSBUY was very good resuming at Sale and looms as the one to beat on home track. Ditto MOONLIGHT RUBY after good run Bendigo, lightly raced and will measure up. Not going too wide here.
SUGGESTED: Think either one of top two tips wins but taking 11 as insurance in quaddie.
